Are we ever prepared, for the call that a parent may have pssed on before we get to the hospital?

We are on our way now. How do we cope? I have lost a husband, father and baby, but time eases, but does not rake away the pain, and I realize that we all go through this at times in our lives. She has been my mom for almost 70 years,so I knew this time would come, just..hard. I know there are people all over the world with the same pain, and even way more than what I feel. I just need some thoughts on coping. The loving my mom so much and not wanting to let go is kind of selfish, I know. She is sucha cute spunky little Mom. I hope we make it to the hospital...she looked so well this morning. Please excuse my typos here as I am trying to send this as we travel. Thank you in advance got your kind responses.
