He broke it off. I'm not sure why but if his reason is honest, then he isn't in love with you or attracted to you in that way. If you decided that you are unable to be friends, that's your choice. Many guys have done the same thing to women after a break-up. Hopefully you did it because it would be confusing for your otherwise, and not to be cruel to him. Either way, you went home and took care of business. If he is struggling with his decision, he will have to figure it out. That's not your job. Your job is to pick up the pieces, learn from any mistakes you made and move on. If he does change his mind, that's up to you too. Maybe he will continue to send mixed signals and if that's the case, he probably isn't worth getting back together with. Otherwise, if he was a good guy it he relationship, give him another chance but tell him you don't want him to play with your heart.
