Can i do mosaic tiles on my bedroom wall? And also around a glass mirror?

can i use mosaic tiles on my bedroom wall? Also i don't know the process could someone please explain? I also have a mirror on my bedroom wall and i plan to use the mosaic tiles as a border frame. But i won't be glueing the tiles to the mirror but rather to the wall but it will still have the mirror having a frame...hope that made sense. Is it a good idea?
